EVERFI, 2023

EVERFI’s prospects want to know that the financial education courses they’re buying are actually effective for their learners. I condensed a 21-page research report into a compelling, 4-page infographic that tells the story of why EVERFI’s products actually work. I worked directly with the research authors and a designer to make sure all information was accurate and clear and then used this as a lead magnet and nurturing asset for prospects.

Willow, 2020–2021

An important arm of our B2C brand-building and lead-gen efforts, I helped grow Willow’s Instagram from 250 to 1,000+ followers in ~4 months. I developed the brand guidelines, editorial calendar, and design templates to build an efficient and effective content machine. Click each post to read the captions I wrote.

 

Email newsletters & marketing

Willow, 2020–2021

Willow’s bi-weekly newsletter was the company’s most consistent and successful owned channel to promote content and increase brand awareness. I wrote and compiled each issue, including a ghostwritten welcome note from the founder. Our newsletter open rates averaged ~30% with a ~10% CTOR.

I also wrote our Welcome email for new subscribers, which had a 55% open rate, 16% CTOR, and 5% (from open) direct response rate.

As the Marketing Director at commercial real estate firm T3 Advisors, I acted as managing editor for nearly all external-facing content. Client success stories were an important part of the content strategy as the company wanted to expand its Enterprise business. I wrote and published fourteen of these case studies. Six of those included video, where I interviewed the clients and turned the transcripts into succinct and compelling testimonials. A few of my favorite success stories are highlighted below.

I focused T3’s social media platforms less on lead generation and more on branding and thought leadership. I created and curated all content for LinkedIn, Twitter, and Instagram and organically grew total followers by 100%. A few excerpts are highlighted below.

During my time at NewVistas LLC, a parent company for several smaller engineering startups, I wrote and designed detailed, user-friendly manuals for several new products. Below is a 42-page manual I created for a smart hoist installed in a garage.
